Tim Holtz 12 Tags 2016 July

Christmas in July

Once I saw Tim’s tag for this month, I knew I’d have fun creating my own. I just love his blueprint stamp sets, fun to play with and the possibilities are endless.

I chose the Poinsettia blueprint stamp to create a Christmas themed tag.

Altered Steampunk Mirror

Hello friends,

I have some very exciting news to share! One of my craft besties, Selena (Scrapendiptywayoflife) asked me to alter a mirror for her store Scrapendipity here in Calgary, AB Canada.

I decided to alter the mirror in “steampunk style” – it was so much fun to create! All the gadgets and gears….

I haven’t mastered the art of posting videos on my blog, yet. So I posted a video on my Facebook wall. You can see it here. You may have to scroll down a bit to see the video, and guess what?! – Tim Holtz commented on my post!!! How cool is that?!!…and Mario James Rossi!!! “eeeeek” – I’m still doing the happy dance:)

Have a fantastic day!

Tim Holtz 12 Tags 2016 May

Title – Don’t Pick the Flowers

Hi everyone!

Check out my really cool “Spooky/Pretty” tag I created, for this months Tim Holtz challenge.

I used stamps from the Undertaker and bright bold colors from Seedless Preserves, Spiced Marmalade to soft subtle colors – Milled Lavender, Dried Marigold.

Here is my take on Tim’s tag.

I added a game spinner for one of the focal points of my tag and used the Tim Holtz Gothic stencil to add a creepy yet elegant vibe on the Undertaker’s hat. Then died the lace trimming with Seedless Preserves and Milled Lavender.

For the final touch, I added layers of daisies, using a flower punch and inked them up, to create dimension and a focal point to my tag.

Last night, I really enjoyed creating this tag, and letting my imagination “Run Wild!”…
